One
thing I've learned over the years is that I can't be all things,
to all people, all the time. You will always receive my
best,
but when it isn't working, for either of us, it is sometimes
better for both of us to refer you to another agent with whom
you'll feel more comfortable or will better suit your personal
requirements.
Quite
often I'm asked by a client what they should do.
I'll always
present your options and review the pros and cons for those
options with you so you can feel comfortable about making an
informed, intelligent decision for yourself. But it has to
be your
decision.
Trust
your instincts when buying or selling property and/or working with
an agent. Don't let anyone "talk you into"
anything or try to rationalize a decision to buy, sell, or list
because you'll probably end up regretting your decision and may be
stuck with it's consequences for some time. I think you'll know when it feels like the right thing
to do.
Sharon's
no call policy...
I
like receiving mail, even from companies soliciting business
because then I can decide if I want to use their products or
services, or toss it in the garbage. But I really don't like
solicitors or survey takers calling me when I'm home. That is why I do not call anyone
unless we have an established relationship or I am asked to call
them. Period. I believe you deserve that respect, consideration
and courtesy. Just remember though, if you want me to call
you instead of emailing you, you'll have to let me know.
A
referral based business...
I depend very
much on referrals from my satisfied clients to their relatives,
friends, and co-workers who are looking for excellent real estate
services! A referral is the best compliment you can give to
an agent for a job well done. It's a sign of trust and
confidence. I can't buy that kind of good advertisement.
My goal is not quick sales but rather long term relationships with
those I'm privileged to work with.
Technology
and real estate...
All
the technology in the world will never be able to replace a caring
agent's knowledge, experience, or advice. It will never be
able to offer words of encouragement,
hold your hand when needed,
walk you through situations which may arise or advise you not to sell or buy right now
because it's probably not the best thing for you to
do at the
moment or the best time to do it. Technology, computers, the
internet, etc. are merely tools we use to assist us in doing a
better job for our clients. I will always have job security
as long as I continue to put my clients interests and goals before
my own, and this is as it should be.
